Oro

It's been 20 years since we last were able to control the likes of Street Fighter 3's mysterious and powerful turtle hermit and it'll still be another year yet before we get him in Street Fighter 5, but Capcom has revealed that Oro is en route as a DLC character for SF5's fifth and final season.

As we saw with Akira, Rose, and Dan last week Capcom has posted a new sketch image of Oro to the Street Fighter Twitter page. This one appears a bit more introspective than the first, which sees Oro hoisting his turtle up above his head, as the old hermit gazes directly into the eyes of his pet.

Street

Though we didn't see much of this turtle figure in Oro's Street Fighter 3 appearance, it looks to be front and center for the character now. Street Fighter 5 Director, Takayuki Nakayama, was sure to point out that he and his team are designing Oro to have some sort of special balance mechanic involving his reptilian friend.

I have just modified 2 external links on Oro (Street Fighter). Please take a moment to review my edit. If you have any questions, or need the bot to ignore the links, or the page altogether, please visit this simple FaQ for additional information. And then we've got Oro - the weird and wonderful master mostly remembered for his appearance in Street Fighter III: 3rd Strike. The big surprise here, though, is Akira Kazama from Rival Schools. 'Oro is such a great character and he's really underserved in terms of product that's been made for Street Fighter,' said Mr. Macaluso, 'I am glad we can help fix that.' PCS's team of professional sculptors have outdone themselves with this statue, putting eye-popping attention-to-detail in every crease and fold of the ancient one's anatomy.

For those who didn't play a ton of Third Strike, this old fighter is so powerful that he uses some of his own magic to bind one of his arms into a sling. He does this so as to even out fights as he'd presumably roll through all comers given the use of both hands. This theme looks to continue in an interesting way in SF5 as both arms are out, but the turtle must be accounted for.

This is the fourth of such sketches Capcom has released in recent weeks as we also got new looks at Dan, Rose, and Akira. We've included these in the gallery below for those of you haven't seen them yet or that simply want to check them out once more.

We also tagged on an image of the timeline schedule developers released so you can more easily get a vivid picture of when to expect what. Let us know in the comments how hype you are for Oro and friends and perhaps who you speculate the fifth and final character to be.
