Flashtool developer Androxyde has updated the must-have utility for Xperia owners to build number 0.9.19.1. The big feature in this latest version is that it supports all Xperia devices.
If you remember, the last Flashtool version (0.9.19.0) brought support for the 2015 Sony Xperia devices. However, the method to flash devices was slightly different with a FSC (Flashtool Script) needed. Therefore, if you were using an older Xperia model (2014 series and older) it was recommended to use the prior Flashtool release (0.9.18.6).
Flashtool 0.9.19.1 marries both prior versions together, so if no FSC is found, Flashtool will use the old method of flashing as seen in Flashtool 0.9.18.6.
The latest version of Flashtool can be downloaded here. A word of caution on the installation, Androxyde mistakenly placed a couple of folders in the wrong location. This means you may not be able to open Flashtool. To solve this, navigate to the following folder: “C:Flashtoolx10flasher_libwinjre” where you will find two folders inside (winjre32 and winjre64). Place these two folders one level higher i.e. at “C:Flashtoolx10flasher_lib”. It should be placed as can be seen in the picture below.
Update: A new version of Flashtool (0.9.19.2) has been released that fixes the bug above.

2. unlock the bootloader (in case you want to install the custom kernels with recovery menu and more)
3. relock bootloader on your phone
1. Install firmware for Sony XPERIA La) download and install latest Flashtool
b) download OS for your Sony XPERIA L (you can choose from list below)

c) open the XPERIA Flashtool, click on flash and choose downloaded firmware, than click ok. Important – if you do not want to delete any data of your phone, just uncheck flashing userdata.sin file. All data will remain in your phone, but sometimes it can cause additional troubles. So it is better (and I recommend that) to do the backup of your personal data, than proceed with clean instalation and then restore your personal data.
d) turn off your phone and when Flashtool shows pop up window, connect phone to PC with holding volume down button
e) after few minutes all is done and your phone gets the new firmware

2. how to unlock your bootloader
a) download and install latest Flashtool
b) start Flashtool and click on BLU button on the top
c) turn off your device and when Flashtool shows pop up window, connect device to PC with holding volume down button
d) Flashtool will check your device and than you need to connect your device once more, now with holding volume up button
e) click on get unlock key button, it will switch you to Sony Mobile website, here select your phone and hit continue
f) fill your email adress and accept terms and conditions, than click submit
g) go to your mailbox and click on Click here to proceeed link in mail from Sony Mobile
h) copy IMEI from Flashtool to Sony Mobile site and once more accept term and contidion, than click submit
i) copy unlock key to Flashtool window and than click unlock
j) your device is unlocked

3. how to relock your bootloader
a) download and install latest Flashtool
b) start Flashtool and click on BLU button on the top
c) turn off your phone and when Flashtool shows pop up window, connect phone to PC with holding volume down button
d) just click on relock button and your bootloader is locked for now
